Created HP-UX Depot’s and Solaris Packages for distribution on large
network of hosts.
Managed HP-UX, Solaris, AIX, Redhat, and SuSE Linux Servers
Developed Service Guard-on-Linux solution for Proctor and Gamble in
order to support their global Shipping and Packing plants.
Completed packaging of customized versions of software for Linux,
Solaris, and HP-UX using packaging methods specific to each OS (pkg in
Solaris, depot in HP-UX, and RPM in Linux).
Responsible for staging multiple servers in the Dearborn HP Service Desk
Platform.
Worked with HP Service Desk Team to develop a custom application to
accept incoming email from various sources, insert information from the
email, and create a ticket in the Service Desk Ticketing System. Tool was
written in perl, using multiple external perl modules and working with the
postfix email system, apache webserver, with a separate interface written
in php with a postgresql SQL backend.
Wrote separate utility using postgres database along with PHP on an
apache webserver to allow our teams to use a Turnover system in order
to keep each shift aware of open issues existing from the previous shift.
Utility went on to be used globally across multiple teams.
Supported Critical Path in the monitoring and support of their global email
server product. Clusters of computers were monitored and supported
across the US, as well as in England and Japan.
Support Ford and Visteon in their global server support in the US,
England, and Germany.
Supported HP-UX, AIX, and Solaris servers for the Defense Logistics
Agency in HP’s Managed Services support group.

Volunteer
experience
Arbornet, Inc. Was on the Board of Directors for approximately 1 year.
Have done a number of fund-raising activities with them, such as
running our Booth at a Computer show in Ann Arbor, as well as running
several auctions of merchandise to benefit Arbornet and M-Net, their
public-access unix system. Currently volunteering as a root doing
sysadmin-type duties. Keeping M-Net up, fixing problems, etc.
 
Knights of Columbus Have spent time to help our running a weekly
Bingo for the elderly as well as helping to run the annual Ox Roast and
Tootsie Roll Drives.
